Beach Grass at Seaside
Pacific North West was a wonderful exploration of the coast, accented by views and vista's that saturated my mind with beauty and peace. The cool breezes, tall mountains, ocean waves and rocky beaches were a treat to my senses. These paintings were created during my visit, in the mornings and evenings after exploring the countryside. Each painting is created with gauche on 8x10 archival watercolor board. This painting comes unframed but can be matted and framed under glass or slipped into an 8x10 frame with out glass. I hope you enjoy these lively vista's as much as I did exploring it.
One of the interesting things for me was the beach grass and the dunes. From the boardwalk, you went through a good bit of dunes and beach grass before you came to the actual beach. It was quite a treck each time, but really made the beach feel so separated from the town. I like the beach grass and the wild blackberries that grew along with it on the dunes.
