Collage Painting.

This collage series is a new venture for me. Born out of the need to clean and re-organize my studio. I had a stack of paintings that I had held onto for years, but they were not for my website or a gallery. I seriously considered the trash. I just couldn’t! I was looking at a bigger painting and thought, I would just like to keep the flowers out of this painting. It was like a moment. I could cut them out and use them together….the rest is history. I have been happily cutting up paintings for months now.

This little jewel “Being My Flowers Now” is 11x14x.75 with painted sides.

Flowers stand for growing, blooming, planting seeds for the future. Flowers are about cultivating hope, and faith, things that we don’t see and waiting for beauty.    

I believe beauty always soothes. Creating beauty does twice the job…gives the artist peace and fulfillment and brings beauty to another.

Painting will be shipped as quickly as possible so they can be used as Mother’s Day gifts.
