The 100 Day Project

Have you ever picked a word for the year?

It’s not usually my thing… but this year, I did.

UNAPOLOGETIC

No, I’m not suddenly becoming loud, rude, or wildly over-the-top. 😉 But I am choosing not to shrink myself to fit into smaller spaces — especially when it comes to my art.

This is my year of being unapologetically, audaciously me.

More bold color.
More whimsy.
More flowers (always more flowers 🌸).
More subjects that light me up and make my heart do a little happy dance.

And just to be very clear — this doesn’t mean I don’t adore my amazing collectors and clients. Quite the opposite! You are the foundation of my creative life, and I’m so grateful for you. What it does mean is that I want to share the truest, most joyful ideas bouncing around in my brain.

Will every single piece be for every single person? Probably not — and that’s okay!

But for those who connect with it? Oh, you’re in for something truly joyful.

The 100 Day Project

The 100 Day Project is a joyful movement that celebrates the creative process. The idea is simple and powerful: choose a specific practice and commit to it for 100 days. Show up. Make. Repeat. 💛

I’ve participated a couple of times before, but this year feels different — I’m genuinely excited about what I’ve chosen to explore. If you’re curious about the project itself, you can find it here:

Recently, I took a class from an illustrator I’ve long admired, Helen Dradick. Painting along with her has been pure delight — no pressure, no perfectionism, just vibrant color and playful exploration. One idea she shared really stayed with me: asking herself, “What is my gut telling me?”

That question has been dancing around in my mind ever since.

So… here’s my 100 Day Project.

I’m choosing to practice the wonder of whimsy. 🌿✨
For 100 days, I’ll spend one hour a day creating paintings inspired by nature and everyday life — but painted from imagination, guided by instinct, and led by my gut. My hope is to complete somewhere between 15 and 25 pieces by the end of this adventure.

Since I’ve stepped back from posting constantly on social media, I’m creating a rhythm that feels joyful and sustainable. I’ll share an update every 10 days — enough to stay accountable, but not so much that it feels overwhelming (for me or for you!).

Here’s to color, curiosity, and trusting that inner nudge. 💕
